HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA---Bolsa Chica State Beach is shaped like a bowl that descends to the ocean. As you enter the beach at street level the sand runs flat till you reach the slope heading down to the beach. This is one of California's most popular beaches because there are bonfire pits, pretty good parking on most days and it is located next to Dog Beach.

Bolsa Chica is operated by California State Parks and ranks as one of their better revenue generators. Fire rings are free, first come first serve, parking is fee-based with wheelchair access, and there are BBQ grills on a cement patio.

Getting there: Bolsa Chica Beach entrance is located on Pacific Coast Highway between Warner Ave. and Seapoint Ave.

Beach Concessions: You can buy all sorts of beach items and great food.
