ATASCADERO: Winter Wonderland with 65 tons of snow. Atascadero Sunken Gardens and the entire downtown will be transformed into a magical snowy paradise!  The snow pile play areas help make way for a massive snow slide built by Kiwanis Club of Atascadero!  Joe's Little Train operated by the Elks Club of Atascadero, two Euro bungee jumps, obstacle course, gladiator joust, bounce houses, face painting, caricature artist, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus are on hand! If you are looking to check off a couple of items from your holiday shopping list, this event offers shopping from our downtown merchants to over 50 craft and food vendors. Visitors can experience musical entertainment at Historic City Hall by the Atascadero Elementary and High School Show & Concert Choirs, the Fine Arts Academy Honors Choir, plus dance performances by Motions Academy of Dance, Fine Arts Academy, and scooter demonstrations by A-Town Park & 805 Board shop! It has been rumored that Santa & Mrs. Claus will make an appearance at the massive snow slide area and Santa may even be the first to ride a sled down the slide, kicking off this fabulous event! If you miss Santa & Mrs. Claus at the snow slide, you can catch them at Historic City Hall until 9 pm. The North Pole entrance for Santa will be on the Jr. High side of the building.  The event is free to come and enjoy, but donít forget to bring along your wallet for holiday shopping, great food and all of the extra fun that abounds! CORONA DEL MAR: Nights of 1000 Lights December 11-22, 2020, 6-9 p.m. at Sherman Library and Gardens. Light displays, live music & more. Stroll through Sherman Gardens safely this holiday season and experience a dazzling display of lights and entertainment. See the beautifully decorated Christmas Tree, the Disco Inferno and  technicolor light tunnel while enjoying old time Appalachian music and bites available for purchase. Safety protocols include timed admissions and limited capacity in the Gardens each night. No tickets sold at the gate.   $25, age 3 and under free. Tickets will go on sale to Monday, November 16. VENTURA: Mission San Buenaventura Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5 a.m. Mariachi traditional songs are played at 5 a.m. in O'Brien Hall followed by Mass at 5:30 a.m. Then menudo breakfast in the Parish Center Auditorium. At 6 p.m. in the Mission Church, Aztec dancers pay tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe and a procession is held on Main Street from the Mission to Palm Street to Juniper Serra Way and O'Brien Hall. Mass includes a dramatized representation of the apparition at Tepeyac Hill in Mexico. The evening concludes with pan dulce and chocolate in the Parish. Location: 211 East Main Street
