City of Oceanside puts on two egg hunts before Easter. One is co-sponsored but this event in Buddy Todd Park is main event sponsored by Oceanside Parks and Recreation.  The morning includes fun activities.

Buddy Todd Park Hunt begins promptly at 10 am Event and parking are free  Open to children 3-11 only Annual Easter Egg Hunt Don't miss the Annual Oceanside Parks & Recreation Easter Egg Hunt at Historic Buddy Todd Park,  Come early to meet 'Bob' the Bunny. This is a free, family-friendly event. Due to the high volume of people attending we ask, kindly, that you leave your four-legged friends behind. During normal park hours, leashed doggies are welcome in all Oceanside Parks.

 The Oceanside Public Library invites parents, caregivers and children, ages seven years and under, to participate in springtime stories, songs, crafts and hunting for Easter eggs in the Mission Branch Library, 3861-B Mission Avenue, on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. and in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms, 330 North Coast Highway, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. The event at the Mission Branch Library will be a bilingual event in Spanish and English; the event at the Civic Center Library will be English only. This event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library. Annual Eastside Easter Egg Hunt celebrates 20 years in 2012. The event is open to the public and is designed for kids age 3 to 12. Parents should bring the baskets for their kids to gather their goodies. The event is not a long hunt. It goes quickly from   9:30 to 10 a.m.  Location: Joe Balderrama Park. Sponsored by the City of Oceanside-Neighborhood Services and Eastside United, this is the perfect Easter celebration for youngsters, and the park is a great place to linger afterward if you want to give the kids a chance to play.
