Costume Contest in City Hall Plaza at 12:30 p.m.

Parents are invited to bring their children in the kids cutest costumes for a Trick or Treat festival with downtown merchants. Activity passes sold for bounce houses and other fun attractions.

 The Kiwanis Club usually sponsors  the Costume Contest. Categories are Under 3 years, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-17 years, 18 years+, and Group Costume.

EL SEGUNDO Pumpkin Pool-ooza

$5 adult swimmer/helper
The El Segundo Rec Department turns the pool into a giant floating pumpkin patch. Admission fee includes

• Pumpkin Decorating
• Swim
• Aqua Obstacle Course
• Bounce House

Take a plunge in the floating pumpkin patch. Pick your pumpkin, then stay and decorate it. The event includes games and a frightening good time for all.

Reserving a spot ensures that you will be in a pumpkin pickin' heat at that specific time. Arrive at the Aquatics Center before your heat starts to receive a decorating kit and candy. You will have the option to complete a swim test if you wish to try the Aquatic Obstacle Course. Each heat has 5 minutes to select 1 pumpkin. After you pick your pumpkin you will exit the pool and decorate your pumpkin. Before and after your heat you can enjoy recreation swim, the obstacle course, and a bound house. Wristbands representing your heat are at the door the day of the event with a number, entering you into the raffle. Make sure you listen for the number on your wristband to be called for the raffle directly following your heat. Each heat is open to all pumpkin pickers age 14 years and younger.

Get into the spirit with candy bucket painting, s'mores, sweet treats and a family friendly movie by the bonfire. Costumes are encouraged.

Events in El Segundo include the city's free summer concerts in the park, Christmas Tree Lighting and the annual Easter egg hunt.
