Free Trick or Treat in Downtown Salinas! Bring your kids for this family friendly event and enjoy the ease of trick or treating at your local businesses. Costume contests for kids AND adults at the annual event which celebrates 11 years in 2019! It's always on the Saturday before Halloween from 11am-2pm in Downtown Salinas and gives families an opportunity to explore the Historic Center for Arts, Culture, and Cuisine known as the Steinbeck District in Downtown Salinas. Every year downtown celebrates the beauty and diversity of this wonderful community! Please feel free to share this event with your friends and spread the word!

Tom and Katherine Borchard, owners of Borchard Farms, host the annual Borchard Farms pumpkin weigh-off, known as the California State Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off. To date has raise over $25,000 for Ag Against Hunger.
In addition to growing artichokes and row crops, Borchard Farms grows and sales minor crops of pumpkins, gourds and squash, which is made available to the public during the fall months of September and October each year.
