Free Trick or Treat in Downtown Salinas! Bring your kids for this family friendly event and enjoy the ease of trick or treating at your local businesses. Costume contests for kids AND adults, pumpkin decorating, scavenger hunt and more - mark your calendar now and we'll see you downtown!

This annual event celebrates 21 years in 2025! It's always on the Saturday before Halloween from 11am-2pm in Downtown Salinas and gives families an opportunity to explore the Historic Center for Arts, Culture, and Cuisine known as Downtown Salinas.

It's chilling! It's thrilling! It's a night of trick-or-treating!

That's just for starters...there's a mind-blowing science show along with some spooky characters you can meet. Trick-or-treat is center wide - kids come in  costume and enter the contest for best dressed.   
Rules and Regulations - you break them, you're out!
1. No adults or children over the age of 10 are allowed to wear a Halloween mask inside the center.
2. Costume accessories that resemble a weapon of any kind will not be permitted inside the center.
3. Use of silly string, blow horns, or any form of a powdery substance is strictly prohibited, and subject to confiscation.

Open every day from September 'til Halloweeen

Daily Halloween activities - corn maze, farm animals, haunted barn, ghost town, pumpkin patch. 5 acre corn maze is available for exploring 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. (flashlight at night)

Tom and Katherine Borchard, owners of Borchard Farms, host the annual Borchard Farms pumpkin weigh-off, known as the California State Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off. To date has raise over $25,000 for Ag Against Hunger.

In addition to growing artichokes and row crops, Borchard Farms grows and sales minor crops of pumpkins, gourds and squash, which is made available to the public during the fall months of September and October each year.
