BERKELEY:  Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Awards Breakfast appears to be a virtual "webinar" event in 2023.

CLOVIS: Annual MLK Community Breakfast January 14, 2023, 9 a.m. at California Health Sciences University, 2500 Alluvial Ave. in Clovis. $5 paid reservation,

FRESNO: Annual MLK March January 16, 2023, 9:15-10:45 a.m. from St. John's Cathedral. March begins at 10 a.m., stops at City Hall, then  proceeds to Veteran's Memorial Auditorium, 2425 Fresno Street with a concluding program. Program features guest speakers, cultural dancers and song in commemoration of the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

LANCASTER: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

LONG BEACH: Martin Luther King Parade and Festival January 14, 2023, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. the parade will begin on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue intersecting Anaheim Street, and is followed by a multi-cultural celebration at King Park located at 1950 Lemon Avenue. Attracting over 25,000 people to continue the legacy and teachings of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Location: King Park, Long Beach, CA. 

LOS ANGELES: Kingdom Day Parade January 16, 2023, 10 a.m. Annual event presented by Congress of Racial Equality. Celebrities, floats, bands, drill teams. Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Route: Parade Starts at 10 a.m. at Western and MLK The Parade proceeds west of MLK to Crenshaw and south on Crenshaw to Vernon. Broadcast live on ABC 7 11 a.m.-1 p.m. After the parade, there's usually a festival at Leimert Park.

OAKLAND: Martin Luther King Jr. Film Festival,  Address: 659 14th Street, Oakland, CA,

RIVERSIDE: Dr. MLK  Annual Walk-a-thon January 16, 2023.

SACRAMENTO: Capitol March for the Dream January 16, 2023, 8 a.m. Capitol March at 9:15 a.m. Starts at Sacramento City College. The March begins from Sacramento City College (3835 Freeport Blvd.) Event is free.

SAN DIEGO: Martin Luther King Jr. Parade January 15, 2023, 2-5 p.m. Floats, drill teams, bands. ROUTE: Start at Harbor Dr at W Ash St.   southbound down Harbor Dr. starting at W Grape St. W. Grape to W. Ash is the staging area. 2. Parade to continue down Harbor and turn left onto W Broadway. 3. Parade to continue down W Broadway to Pacific Hwy and turn Right. 4. Parade to continue down Pacific Hwy and disband near Seaport Village.
