Anaheim program takes place in front of the historic Community Mausoleum. The program is coordinated by American Legion Post 72 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3173. The event includes a flag ceremony, special guest speakers, wreath presentations, and more. Following the program, VFW Post 3173 hosts a lunch reception at their Post.
Every Memorial Day each
District cemetery holds a Memorial Day program. The programs at El Toro Memorial Park and
Anaheim Cemetery both begin at 11 a.m. The events are free and the public
is encouraged to attend. Events will take place rain or shine.

Memorial Day programs have been staged at this site since 1881. Volunteers are appreciated for the flag placement event at Santa Ana Cemetery on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 8 a.m. to ensure every Veteran grave is honored with a U.S. flag.
