The Davis Brass Ensemble performs patriotic music during the first half hour. The ceremony also features music by the Davis Brass Ensemble, Davis Children's Chorale and the Davis High School Madrigals.

Join the UC Davis Community in a ceremony to honor and remember the Gold Star Aggies, UC Davis students and alumni who gave their lives in military service. A special tribute is given to Capt. Sean Elliott, Class of 2009, whose name will be added to the Golden Memory Book and Gold Star Aggie Wall.
Jacob (Jake) C. Smith, Class of 2003, is keynote speaker for the 2018 UC Davis Memorial Day Ceremony. Jake served four tours in Afghanistan with U.S. Army Special Operations, and received two Bronze Star medals. After receiving his B.A. in Political Science from UC Davis, he received his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2014.
