One of the colorful places in the California photo gallery is  beyond the gates of a beautiful Japanese garden on the campus of the California State University Long Beach. Photographers can  enter an enchanting world of bamboo plants, refection ponds, a small bridge, Japanese tea house, and uniquely shaped black pine trees.

The koi fish are very healthy looking and quite friendly. At the hint of food they go rushing to the the banks of the pond to eat practically out of the hands of those with approved food you can purchase and give to the colorful fish.
