TEMECULA, CALIF. — This weekend the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival May 29-31, 2015 brings the joy of the region’s hot air ballooning together with its fine wine traditions for a festival that dances, sings and flies high. While some say it’s a blast (as in hot air balloons,) the colorful affair is definitely a hot ticket item. It begins with the barrel races in which teams transform wine barrels into race vehicles for a hilarious street challenge to see who’s barrel designs travel fastest. That’s just the start of a weekend filled with beautiful balloons, delicious wines and the musical acts such as Daughtry with four Number 1 hits and Grammy nominations.  The eclectic John Waite and other popular acts appear on several stages on Saturday. Then on May 31 the boot-stompin’ Country Sunday Funday includes Scotty Mac Band performing last week at Shipkicker Festival in Long Beach.

The Balloon & Wine Fest showcases some of the cool things you can do in Temecula Valley. Stick around for a few days to explore the wine trail, sleep among the grape vines at South Coast Winery villas, gamble at the largest and most expansive resort/casino experience in the western U.S at Pechanga, golf at Temecula Creek Resort, get a spa treatment and enjoy a hot air balloon ride.
