California Beach Party Tonight
Anyone who knows Vacaville surely will know that there’s no beach, but tonight the Central Valley city is getting hotter (than the 108 degrees expected to arrive on Sunday) with the sounds of California Beach Party, a 6-piece band that plays music by groups like the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, the Ventures, the Surfaris and Dick Dale. Back on the Beach in Santa Cruz a musician (Gregg Rolie) from the band, Santana, is performing in what’s billed as a REAL California beach party. Not to be outdone, San Pedro is holding its Cars & Stripes Forever tonight, a beach party with hot cars and cool tunes from bands Daddyo’s, The Topics, Rumble King, Identity Crisis and One Ten South. Cars on display, Fanfare Fountain shows every 10 minutes, TransPORTer, Ride the Red Car and Food trucks & Beer Garden are part of the festivities that culminate in a fireworks show over the water.
