imgsSAN JOSE, CALIF. — One of California’s must-see architectural wonders for art glass lovers is Winchester Mystery House. Often made to order in Austria and imported by Tiffany’s of New York, the 160 room mansion’s windows and doors are exquisite works of art containing concave and convex glass  frames inset with glittering  jewels, and additionally framed by the finest woods. Sarah Winchester designed daisy and spiderweb patterns that are embedded in many of the windows filled with secret & occult meanings. But to the regular guy or gal, they are nothing less than spectacular.  Freight cars loaded with one-of-a-kind custom designed  Tiffany art glass windows were docked onto a side track at San Jose. Everything was then transported to the house where some were never even installed! At the time of the Winchester rifle heir’s death in 1922, there were rooms full of ornate treasures still waiting to find a niche in the massive home…you’ll be amazed! Admission is around $25.
