The Night of 1,000 Pumpkins in Folsom Historic District is back on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. The event features lit jack-o-lanterns in front of merchant stores and restaurants. Folsom’s charming and historic downtown area is filled with special events throughout the year. In addition to the Halloween festival and trick or treat for the kids, the city is preparing for the Veterans Day Parade called: The Land of the Free Because of the Brave. Every Saturday, year-round, there’s a farmers market worth checking out, and starting November 7 (through Jan. 19, 2015) the totally cool Historic Folsom Ice Rink opens to the public. The downtown Tree Light Ceremony takes place December 5, followed by the 47th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, December 6. Folsom loves holiday celebrations and if you do as well, you’ll be happy there.
