Great Week for Rose Festival
Pictures show rose growing efforts at WEEKS Roses in Wasco, Calif., where it’s a great WEEK for roses. One of the best known rose creators in the world, Christian Bédard, comes up with stunning, new roses for Weeks Roses.
The annual Wasco Rose Festival this weekend on September 12, 2015 includes rose tours, rose exhibits, and the beautiful community parade, one of three rose parades in California (others include famed Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena and Santa Rosa’s Luther Burbank Rose Festival Parade.) The rose industry in California has had its ups and downs with companies such as Weeks Roses surviving through consolidation and financing efforts. But this week in Wasco, California, a Kern County city attritbuted with growing approx. 55% of the nation’s roses, everything’s coming up roses. According to recent reports, the rose crops in 2015 are some of the best ever!
