California’s longest ocean pier, Sant Cruz Wharf, kicks off its 100 year anniversary on October 12, 2013 with a pop up museum documenting its history from 1914 to today. Community members are encouraged to bring photographs, artifacts and stories. Historian and author Geoffrey Dunn and Santa Cruz Mayor Hilary Bryant are attending the first of many events throughout the next year to celebrate a city icon not quite as old as the famous Santa Cruz Boardwalk.  See santacruzwharf.com or call 831-420-5273.
