Among State of California’s 270+ state parks, beaches and attractions and 1,000 miles of coastal treasures, Monterey County features an amazing inventory of state beaches that are some of the finest for scenery, hikes, nature watching, camping, and even weddings!  From the beautiful McWay Falls where water spills into the Pacific Ocean from Julia Pfeiffer Burns beach, to the Fort Ord Sand Dunes, the scenery certainly can’t be beat. Take plenty of memory for your cameras and smart phones to capture as much of it as you can.

Here’s a list of Monterey County state-designated beaches, but don’t forget other places worth seeing such as 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach!  See California State Parks website, parks.ca.gov for details on camping, etc.
