Premier California Walnuts, Eat ’em, Celebrate in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Did you know that California produces the most coveted walnuts in the world? At least that’s what the California Walnut Commission (walnuts.org) says, so it’s probably true. This week they also said that the California walnut crop is expected to come in just under the all time record setting crop and will total around 460,000 short tons of walnuts (the final tally won’t be calculated till Spring 2013.)
