Sac Music Festival
In just 39 days Sac Music Festival, the biggest jazz music festival on the West Coast (except for Playboy Jazz Festival June 13-14, 2015) thunders, stomps and swings into Sacramento on May 22, 23, 24 and 25, 2015. The two California music festivals actually share a bond (and band or two between them) with Tower of Power performing at the Sacramento event and at the Hollywood Bowl for the Playboy Jazz fest. The Sac Music Festival features jazz, Dixieland jazz, zydeco and swing with some rockabilly, country, bluegrass and Latin thrown in for good measure. Events included in this ticketed festival spanning more than a dozen venues in Old Town include a free Saturday parade in the streets of Old Town, a full day of swing dancing and contests, Sunday gospel sets, and a Monday Memorial Day Salute. Over 100 bands are performing at the festival!
