California Getting Snow! Let the Ski Season Roll

Published on: November 21, 2010

With one of the first cold storm fronts to blow through California the week of Thanksgiving 2010, has skiers and snowboarders hopes up. Excited to head for the mountains for some fresh powder, here’s what feel so far (and there’s more to come!)

Heavenly Ski - 12″ (skiheavenly.com)

Snow Summit – No totals have been reported yet but it has snowed. It actually has been a mixture of both rain and snow. All 3 roads into Big Bear are open, and there are reports that chains are required on Hwy 330/18 the front way however there are currently no chain requirements on Hwy 38 or Hwy 18 thru Lucerne. Mammoth Mountain - Dump alert. 2 feet of snow overnight. (mammothmountain.com)
