CARLSBAD, CALIF.--When it was 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 in California, it was midnight somewhere and wherever it was got a royal welcoming from the kids and adults visiting Legoland California. Thousands of kids and families celebrated a Times Square-style countdown and a huge brick (Lego) dropping 22-feet. Grammy nominee Justin Roberts, Aaron Nigel Smith and the FUNdamentals, and Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band performed in three hours of kid-friendly concerts building up to a fireworks display that illuminated the Legoland California theme park in San Diego County.
