Starbucks closed four years ago, two of three hotels are shut down, and the thermometer is a shell of its former self since it doesn&#8217;t show the current temps.\u00a0 Some desert locals call it an eyesore and they want it demolished. The owner of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/alien-fresh-jerky-out-in-the-desert\/\">Alien Fresh Jerky<\/a> thinks the giant thermometer should be torn down.
