What does that mean in terms of safety? According to government and non-profit agencies focused on ocean water quality, they recommend you not go in the water on New Year&#8217;s Day unless it hasn&#8217;t rained for 72 hours. In real world terms, however, most will disregard such warnings and will GO FOR IT! 9 times out of 10, everything will turn out great. But for those who are prone to catching things, here&#8217;s what you can do to minimize the effects of and exposure to possible pollution:<\/p>\n<p>1.
