But Bear Valley is unique&#8211;it&#8217;s a snowmobile ONLY winter ski destination closed to drive-through traffic after the first big snowfall. Each year State Route 4 (approx. half a mile east of SR 207 \/ Mt. Reba Turnoff) to Junction SR 89 \/ Ebbetts Pass shuts down, and for snow lovers it&#8217;s a glorious time!
