Museums often have boot exhibits but we saw all these boots in one single show at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage. \u00a0Pictured are some famous cowboy boots that were worn in the White House and on the Big Screen. Left to right:<\/p>\n<p><strong>President Ronald Reagan Boots<\/strong> with Presidential Seal made circa 1984 by Tony Lama Boot Company<br \/>\n<strong>Gene Autry&#8217;s Bluebird Boots<\/strong> 1930s with American Flag Shirt mid-1900s, made by Nudie&#8217;s Rodeo Tailors<br \/>\n<strong>Lyndon Baines Johnson Black Boots<\/strong> with Presidential Seal<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the flag shirt, middle picture:<\/strong> \u00a0Everyone knows about Gene\u00a0Autry, but\u00a0Nudie\u00a0Cohn (of\u00a0Nudie&#8217;s Rodeo Tailors)\u00a0was possibly more famous among celebrities. The\u00a0signature gold lame&#8217; suit worn by Elvis, rhinestones on fancy outfits, fringe leather jackets, and \u00a0one-of-a-kind jackets, boots and clothes worn by \u00a0John Wayne, Gene\u00a0Autry, Cher, John Lennon, Ronald Reagan, Elton John, Robert\u00a0Mitchum, Pat\u00a0Buttram, Tony Curtis, Michael Landon, Glenn Campbell, Hank Snow, Hank Williams Sr.,and groups such as, America, Chicago, ZZ top, and the Flying Burrito Bros \u00a0(well known Marijuana leaves suit worn by Gram Parsons) were all Nudie&#8217;s creations! To add to the flashy style of the Russian immigrant\u00a0tailor,\u00a0Nudie\u00a0created a fleet of 18, silver studded, gun toting, cattle stampeding automobiles.\u00a0Nudie\u00a0died at the age of 81 in 1984. Dale Evans was there to give the Eulogy. Everyone he had ever clothed was there to pay their respects. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/museums\/los-angeles-autry-national-center.html\">Autry\u00a0Museum<\/a> has an extensive archive of patterns, customer sizes, photos, etc. from\u00a0Nudie\u00a0Cohn&#8217;s collection.\u00a0Nudie\u00a0started out a penniless Russian Jew escaping\u00a0tyranny. He worked hard in the U.S. and made a big splash.
