Today on April 28, 2013 the premier Bay Area ballet companies come together for a special fundraiser called “Dances from the Heart” at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts.<\/a> Beyond this convergence of some of the nation’s finest talents, you’ll have another chance to catch the stunning Diablo Ballet in their Walnut Creek performance on May 3 and 4, 2013. Featured in the presentation is: George Balanchine’s brilliant Stars and Stripes Pas de Deux, KT Nelson’s They’ve Lost Their Footing Duet, set to Hoven Droven folk-rock; From Another Time, a World Premiere by Tina Kay Bohnstedt, set to an original score, performed live by Bay Area concert pianist Justin Levitt; and See Saw, a World Premiere by Robert Dekkers (creator of The Web Ballet), featuring Bay Area soloist musicians performing the Piano Trio No. 1 in D Mnor, Movement 1, by Felix Mendelssohn.
