Westminster Kennel Club in stuffy New York selected the most beautiful, well-bred dog in the world back in February, choosing an Affenpinscher as Best of Show. Out on the other coast we like to celebrate the down-trodden, ugly and gnarly canine companions at events such as the World’s Ugliest Dog contest in Petaluma on June 21, 2013 (see sonoma-marinfair.org\/worlds-ugliest-dog).
