Underneath that flour sack was a man with graying brown hair, missing two of his front teeth, deep-set piercing blue eyes under heavy eyebrows. &#8216;Slender hands and intellectual in conversation, well-flavored with polite jokes.&#8217; \u00a0That&#8217;s \u00a0how 14 year-old Donna McCreary described the man who walked to\u00a0the McCreary farm and paid for dinner. \u00a0They called him Black Bart, though he went by the name Charles Bowles.
