Decorated with hats, clothing and other objects to make them look human, the scarecrows sometimes work, though you often may see a crow sitting on the head of a scarecrow in a field. Oh well.<\/p>\n<p>Californians have taken a liking to scarecrows, nevertheless, and have turned them into an art form and holiday tradition, especially popular around Halloween. There are many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/california-scarecrow-festivals-contests.html\"><strong>scarecrow contests and festivals<\/strong> <\/a>coming around the bend in 2013.
