Konocti which is a landmark looming over the famous pear growing region says that good luck will come to those who eat fruit grown from the mountain&#8217;s volcanic soils. A legend, a fruit and a festival bring to fruition the belief that eating Lake County pears is, indeed, a fortunate event for all who partake and participate in <strong>Kelseyville Pear Festival,<\/strong> one of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/california-pear-festivals.html\">three pear festivals<\/a> held in northern California.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Kelseyville&#8217;s event takes place always on the Saturday in September (Sept. 28, 2013.)
