And that&#8217;s exactly what they do on their 60th birthday, celebrating with an entire year of special events (see: costamesasis60.com). On Oct. 12 &amp; 13, 2013, they&#8217;ve brought back the Scarecrow Festival, a once honored tradition in the town that hosts one of the biggest and best farm events in the state &#8211; the Orange County Fair. \u00a0Costa Mesa is holding the Scarecrow Festival over at Goat Hill Junction where kids and adults can get a free train ride several times per month, all year long! \u00a0Another well-known Costa Mesa event, Orange County Market Place, will celebrate Halloween with its annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/halloween\/costa-mesa-halloween.html\">Hearse Parade<\/a>\u00a0which has featured Dr. Demento in past years.
