Just recently when a fire broke out on the 11th floor of the Barrington Plaza in West Hollywood, upper floor apartment renters (25 story building) said it felt like 9-11 with all the smoke. The reality of such catastrophes is that there&#8217;s sometimes no easy way out when you live on the top. Nevertheless, California has its fair share of tall buildings.
