Butler Amusements gets around and that’s no lie! This week they’re happy to be on the road, supplying carnival rides and midway fun to the Holtville Carrot Festival<\/a>, now in its 67th year. The annual festival with a carnival all weekend includes a Carrot Festival Parade on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, and Family Carrot Cookoff on Feb. 9.<\/p>\n For those unfamiliar with Holtville it is located at the very\u00a0bottom of the state near Yuma, Arizona & Mexicali, Mexico. The weather is spectacular right now with the weekend temperature expected to be 76 to 80 degrees. RV’ers (snowbirds) head to Holtville in the winter for affordable living, then high-tale it out of town when summer comes around. \u00a0From Los Angeles it’s about 220 miles or a 3.5 hour drive to Holtville. San Diego is around 2 hours (150 miles). Obviously most of us will not be visiting Holtville Carrot Festival this weekend, but you can certainly catch up with Butler Amusements<\/a> at another California carnival or fair. \u00a0Their next California events include Cloverdale Citrus Fair<\/a> February 14-17 and Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival<\/a> February 14-23 in Indio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Butler Amusements gets around and that’s no lie!
