Famous girls such as\u00a0Taylor Swift,\u00a0Gwyneth Paltrow,\u00a0Mariah Carey,\u00a0Sheryl Crow and\u00a0Hillary Clinton were all scouts&#8211;and look where they are now!<\/p>\n<p>Girl Scout Cookies Weekend (Feb. 8-9, 2014) launches Girl Scout cookie sales, the biggest fundraiser for most scout troops. The sales event goes from Jan. 26 to March 9, 2014. <strong>Cost per box: $4 retail.<\/strong> Scouts receive over 60% or approx. $2.80 per box.<\/p>\n<p>According to Interbake Foods which operates ABC Bakers division contracted by Girl Scouts to produce and private-label the Girl Scout Cookies brand, their company has a comprehensive program to encourage goal setting and marketing so youngsters and teens learn how to succeed in sales. A 10-year-old Girl Scout near Perris, Calif. sold over 4,000 boxes of cookies and won a trip to the cookie factory in Iowa as top-seller! Money raised by scout troops may fund field trips, outings,\u00a0craft &amp; supplies,\u00a0and service projects such as care boxes sent to military overseas. If you don&#8217;t want cookies, you can donate cash.<\/p>\n<p>COOKIES: According to ABC Bakers they are one of two companies in the U.S. manufacturing Girl Scout Cookies.
