It’s that time of year when California Central Coast’s meadows and hills are electrified with color. Yellow wildflowers and lush green grass make their grand appearance, transforming the\u00a0burnished-gold landscape for a few weeks or longer. All it takes is a little rain to turn nature’s spring colors on, and more rain to prolong the annual show.<\/p>\n

Punctuated by gnarled & twisted Coast Live Oak trees, you’ll find the\u00a0special spot (shown in the photo) near the intersection of Interstate 101 and CA Hwy 154, approx. 50 miles north of Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n

Coast Live Oaks a along the “Kings Highway” once played a significant role in the lives of natives who ate their acorns for sustenance.
