Yellow wildflowers and lush green grass make their grand appearance, transforming the\u00a0burnished-gold landscape for a few weeks or longer. All it takes is a little rain to turn nature&#8217;s spring colors on, and more rain to prolong the annual show.<\/p>\n<p>Punctuated by gnarled &amp; twisted Coast Live Oak trees, you&#8217;ll find the\u00a0special spot (shown in the photo) near the intersection of Interstate 101 and CA Hwy 154, approx. 50 miles north of Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n<p>Coast Live Oaks a along the &#8220;Kings Highway&#8221; once played a significant role in the lives of natives who ate their acorns for sustenance.
