That\u2019s Amazing\u2014Huell Howser and ‘California\u2019s Gold’ at Chapman University<\/strong><\/p>\n By C. MacDonald<\/p>\n Orange, Ca–The late, loveable Huell Howser, who endeared himself to millions as the happy-go-lucky, upbeat host of the state\u2019s ultimate TV travel show, “California\u2019s Gold,” will enrich lives forever with his new permanent collection in Chapman University\u2019s Leatherby Libraries.<\/p>\n The award-winning journalist, who donated his TV shows, books, personal letters and art, as well as two houses and more to Chapman, would be thrilled with this special exhibit, which was created after his death in 2013.<\/p>\n “We wanted to honor his memory and show his work behind the scenes,” said Chapman\u2019s Chief Archivist Rand Boyd.
