For those who take it to heart, it&#8217;s a little hard to spin a good yarn when you&#8217;re not used to telling tall tales. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/pegleg-smith-liars-contest.html\">Peg Leg Smith Liars Contest<\/a> on April 5, 2014 (always the first Saturday in April) isn&#8217;t just about fibbing&#8230;it&#8217;s about making it sound interesting. This annual event out in the Anza Borrego desert is based on mountain man Thomas L.
