When an injured Golden Eagle (right photo) arrived at Redding’s Turtle Bay Aquarium, she had no name. The bird was found in the Livermore area where she was struck by a windmill, severing the tip of her right wing. She needed a permanent home in a facility that could care for her so two months after the passing of Auric, a Golden Eagle who had lived at Turtle Bay since 1999, she was adopted.\u00a0Wintu cultural practitioners Art and Michelle Garcia were invited to name her \u00a0and they chose\u00a0“Seteweela” (pronounced Sat-ay-wa-la), meaning “one who soars.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Seteweela’s digs overlook the Sundial Bridge where vertical dance pioneer Bandaloop recently flew into town to rehearse for the world premiere of a new show to take place in June 2014 as part of Celebrate 10 (celebrate10.com) anniversary of the famous bridge<\/a>. Bandaloop soars through the air performing spectacular, aerial acrobatics with the help of ropes and cables.
