To celebrate, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/san-francisco-cherry-blossom-festival.html\">Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival<\/a> (left photo) begins.\u00a0San Francisco&#8217;s two-week festival held April 12-13 &amp; April 19-20 takes place at the same time the city also hosts the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/san-francisco-easter-parade-festival.html\">Union Street Easter Parade and Festival<\/a>\u00a0on April 20. \u00a0Another annual cherry blossom festival takes place in Monterey Park on April 26 &amp; 27. The 17th annual event is held at Barnes Park, admission is free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLES<\/strong>: This week Sebastopol celebrates apples with the Apple Blossom Festival (right photo) on April 12 &amp; 13. The annual event charges $10 admission, except for the\u00a0free\u00a0Saturday parade \u00a0marching down Main Street from 10 a.m. to Noon, \u00a0see appleblossomfest.com.\u00a0 Sebastopol is among a handful of California cities that celebrate apples with festivals, but the only one we know of \u00a0in the state with an apple blossom festival. \u00a0When the apples are fully grown and ripe for the picking, come back and enjoy the Gravenstein Apple Fair on August 9 &amp; 10, 2014.
