They span the entire state north to south and include some of the most fragrant, colorful blossoms this side of paradise. While rain is notorious for cancelling festivals and events, we came across a flower festival cancelled in 2014 due to no rain! The Santa Margarita 4th Annual Wildflower Festival scheduled for March did not go on as usual. It&#8217;s planners said, &#8220;Due to the drought, the 2014 festival is canceled &#8211; we look forward to a comeback in 2015.&#8221; Now that&#8217;s a twist on the standard line, &#8220;rain cancels.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This weekend some fantastic\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">flower<\/span> festivals are definitely ON, even though Lancaster&#8217;s California Poppy Festival reports say the\u00a0fields nearby didn&#8217;t get needed rain to put on nature&#8217;s fantastic display seen in\u00a0past years.
