The town is a beach charmer&#8211;from hotels with ocean views to the quaint downtown with several restaurants, antiques stores, and other shops, it&#8217;s not very big but it has a lot of heart. \u00a0The photo above shows a vista overlooking the Cayucos Pier, beach and town. But if you turned to right from this vantage point you&#8217;d notice the Morro Rock, 8 miles south. The old-wooden Cayucos Pier needs some TLC so a citizen&#8217;s fundraising group is trying to round up $2 million needed to get the fishing pier back to ship-shape condition again.
