Sacramento’s Music Festival\u00a0for many years went by the name “Jazz Festival” and it was the West Coast’s answer to New\u00a0Orleans\u00a0Dixieland. Several years ago the event planners dropped “jazz” from the title. Too bad. It’s still mostly a jazz festival and they really should have kept the name, but with headliner “Collective Soul” performing in 2014, perhaps jazz misses the mark for what the 4 day event\u00a0hopes\u00a0to become. \u00a0No matter what it’s called, there’s\u00a0plenty of hot jazz music and dancing in the streets\u00a0at the Memorial Weekend Festival\u00a0May 23-26, 2014.
