55th Annual Artichoke Festival<\/a> has a new name and new location. It is now called Castroville Artichoke Food Festival & Wine Festival, but you’ll no longer find the main event in Castroville. It has\u00a0moved to Monterey Fairgrounds in Monterey to accommodate wine, food and focus on culinary aspects of the industry. One element of the event, however, provides tours of the artichoke fields in Castroville, part of the price you pay for admission to the event, which costs $10 for an adult\u00a0admission. This is the show where Marilyn Monroe\u00a0got her start serving as a beauty queen. The event has a long tradition honoring artichokes.
