{"id":16632,"date":"2014-06-04T15:58:34","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T22:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/?p=16632"},"modified":"2014-06-04T22:06:22","modified_gmt":"2014-06-05T05:06:22","slug":"the-hollister-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/the-hollister-rally\/","title":{"rendered":"The Hollister Rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/images\/holrally.jpg\" alt=\"img\" width=\"650\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/hollister-rally.html\">Hollister (Motorcyle) Rally<\/a> July 4-6, 2014, \u00a0has a long and storied history dating back to 1947. \u00a0Anything involving over 100,000 people on motorcycles is bound to include a story, as you can imagine!<\/p>\n<p>Johnny&#8217;s Bar &amp; Grill, a biker friendly gathering spot in Hollister, pays homage to\u00a0&#8220;The Birthplace of the American Biker&#8221; with a mural depicting the Marlon Brando movie, &#8220;The Wild One&#8221;, based on the town.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/images\/small\/boozef.jpg\" alt=\"imgs\" width=\"111\" height=\"250\" \/>Recently the bar &amp;\u00a0grill welcomed 84-year-young Virginia Dago (pictured,) \u00a0an original Boozette who was a teenager at the famed &#8217;47 cycle rally\u00a0as a member of the Boozefighter motorcycle club. During that rally there apparently was\u00a0a tiff between several\u00a0bikers who got a little rowdy.
