\n2. PEOPLE:\u00a0\u00a0There’s nothing boring about the people at festivals. Pictured in the center photo is Patricia Kennedy-Pavelock, eagerly volunteering her time to promote\u00a0the 75th Anniversary of Palos Verdes Estates. But what really excites this proud mom is her son, Devin, and his musical success in a band he formed called “Last Night’s Stand” (lastnightsstand.com).
\n3. MUSIC: It sets the tone for a street fair or festival. High-energy sounds\u00a0and classic rock provide free entertainment that’s so good, you\u00a0don’t care whether it’s a\u00a0famous\u00a0band performing or a tribute.
\n4. FOOD: Empenadas, tacos, Greek salads, foot-long ears of roasted corn on the cob, and the newest frozen desserts in mango, banana, raspberry and lemon flavor are starters. Then there’s the beer garden to quench the thirst and finish off the meal.
\n5. ENTERTAINMENT: When\u00a0you hear screams you know there’s a carnival around the bend. From petting zoos to putting lessons offered by\u00a0Trump National Golf Course instructors, you just never know what you will find at a festival.
