As kids growing up in a really small town,\u00a0we entertained ourselves by placing\u00a0pennies on the railroad track and waiting\u00a0for trains to come by and smash them. Perhaps you have your own train memories. There are many. \u00a0If you have access to trains this weekend, you might consider giving your dad a ride on one.<\/p>\n

\nRoaring Camp Railroads<\/a> (Felton near Santa Cruz). This is where the engineer has to get out of the train and clear the track as you head up the hill for Bear Mountain. Also try the Beach Train ride.

\nNapa Valley Wine Train<\/a> is a culinary experience with plenty of wine \u00a0to sample along the way.<\/p>\n
