The Watts Towers<\/a>, one of only nine works of folk art listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is comprised of 17 sculptural pieces made of steel pipes and rods, wrapped with wire mesh, coated with mortar, and embedded with pieces of porcelain, tile and glass. Two towers are nearly 100 feet\u00a0tall! \u00a0You can see the Watts Towers on a visit to Los Angeles. It is located right next to a Los Angeles Blue Line train stop.<\/p>\nSpecial events and tours throughout the year help visitors gain appreciation for the towers, as well as entertain with great music and activities.
