Ripon, California is hosting its annual\u00a0Color the Skies Festival\u00a0featuring a\u00a0hot air balloon and kite show August 30-31, 2014. Daily balloon inflation, ascension, a kite show and kite candy drop along with dozens of ground-based activities and entertainment make this popular event the toast of the Central Valley. Though there won&#8217;t be any actual hot air balloon rides during the festival, there will be tethered rides.
