Since 2010 I&#8217;ve written close to 4,000 postings that have gone out to thousands of subscribers who apparently love California, too. Although I live in Southern California (Huntington Beach) where police sirens are so common\u00a0you\u00a0hardly notice, jets fly overhead (from 3 airports) so loud that we can&#8217;t carry a conversation till they pass\u00a0and Disneyland fireworks boom and pop like clockwork at 9:40-9:45\u00a0most\u00a0nights, I love the place. It&#8217;s crowded, noisy and the traffic can be really, really bad.<\/p>\n<p>No matter where you live or what your experiences consist of, there&#8217;s so much to love, and Californians tend to be optimists by nature, looking for the good in their local communities and state. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/trees\/lewiston-bridge-lighting.html\">Lewiston Bridge Lighting &amp; Fireworks<\/a> is an event that evokes images of community\u00a0pride and sense of belonging. Imagine\u00a0standing in the dark with a couple hundred\u00a0of your\u00a0neighbors, flicking the switch to light the\u00a0Old Lewiston Bridge, then\u00a0watching a\u00a0fireworks show. \u00a0The\u00a0majestic redwood forests that surround this small\u00a0community near\u00a0Weaverville on the North Coast\u00a0are one of the greatest gifts on Earth that no amount of holiday shopping can match.\u00a0\u00a0In a long bucket list of things to see and do before you die, be sure to visit California&#8217;s redwoods&#8211;the tallest trees on the planet!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love California so much that I write about it every day&#8211;without pay!
