If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas, you probably won’t find it in Sacramento this holiday season as there’s no snow predicted. But California’s State Capitol is one of the most romantic places to be, offering old fashioned train rides, tree lightings<\/a>, story telling, ice skating, Nutcracker ballets<\/a> and\u00a0holiday\u00a0parades<\/a>. Bathed in festive lights that illuminate trees,\u00a0boutiques, restaurants\u00a0and the riverfront in a holiday glow, a\u00a0highlight &\u00a0annual events that will warm your heart is Old Sacramento Theatre of Lights<\/a> (shown in photographs,) now in its sixth year. The 20-minute, free show is a\u00a0symphony of lights, sounds, and visual effects transporting audiences to\u00a0Sacramento in 1857 when the beloved poem “The Night Before Christmas” was first introduced.
