Christmas brings out the best in people, including\u00a0the inner\u00a0child\u00a0unleashed in\u00a0adults\u00a0remembering the joys of holiday traditions celebrated when they were young. For Hal Penke Christmas just keeps getting better each year as his fantasy land\u00a0grows with\u00a0more bells, whistles and even smoke effects on\u00a0miniature toy trains that entertain passers\u00a0by his Naples, Calif. home. If he sees nose prints on the window, he knows he’s doing his job. The Rogers\u00a0Middle School teacher\u00a0has plenty of fond memories growing up in the house his parents purchased in 1947 and he returned to after moving away for some years. Like so many residents on Naples Island Hal, his partner, Carol Fafara, and his adorable 93-year old mother are\u00a0preparing for the big\u00a0Naples Boat Parade<\/a> which includes a home decorating contest. The\u00a0theme of the 68th annual event (which coincidentally began just before Hal’s parents moved there) is\u00a0“Light Up the Night”.
